Hi, I’m Amber C. Edwards. Trust me… I know what it feels like to want to live in another country but feel defeated when getting overwhelmed with the lack of resources and negative responses you’re getting. Continuously thinking, “am I the only one who wants to move abroad?” and more importantly, “how can I live overseas?”

I have always been fascinated with travel and the idea of living in a foreign country. So, when the opportunity presented itself for me to move to Doha, Qatar for six months, I jumped at the chance. In Doha, I started a mobile beauty service app and began working as a model.

During my time in Qatar, I began to notice the difficulties that many Black Americans faced when relocating abroad, from finding the right information and support to dealing with cultural differences. I knew that I wanted to help others navigate the complexities of relocating abroad and make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

After six months in Doha, I decided to move to Antigua and Barbuda, the country of ancestry, for two years. While living in Antigua, I collaborated with various government agencies and local businesses to increase tourism in the country.

But I didn't stop there, I always had an entrepreneurial spirit and knew that I wanted to do more. So, I decided to move to México City, where I began building a no-code app called Overseas With Ease. With my extensive knowledge of the relocation process and my passion for helping others, I built an app that provides detailed information, resources, tools and support to Black Americans relocating abroad.

My journey, from Doha to Antigua, and finally to Mexico City, has been a long and winding road, but through it all, I have never lost sight of my goal of making the process of relocating abroad as smooth and stress-free as possible for Black Americans. And with Overseas With Ease, I’m doing just that!
